Manu Parpia

Manu Parpia is the founder and Vice Chairman & Executive Director of Geometric Software Solutions. He has been responsible for the company's evolution from a niche CAD/CAM firm to a specialist provider of Product Life-cycle Management (PLM) solutions to high technology oriented industry verticals like Automotive, Aerospace and heavy engineering. 
After acquiring his degree in Chemical Engineering from Canada's McGill University, Manu joined Humphreys & Glasgow Consultants (H&G), a Process Plant engineering company. He spent four years in different departments at H&G. Manu acquired an MBA degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Business and then worked for the Harvard Business School as an Associate Fellow. 

Following this, Manu founded K. Wadia Exports Pvt Ltd, which manufactured and exported cast gold jewelry. Two years later, Manu set up First Financial Compuserve Pvt Ltd. with the objective of increasing the usage of computers in the area of finance. During next seven years, he worked as a consultant with Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Limited where he was responsible for initiating the product development of Electronic Typewriters, Printers, Computers and CAD/CAM software as a part of G&B's Electronic Business Equipment (EBE) division. Manu recognized the changes in the IT market and initiated restructuring of the division, spinning off the software activity as Geometric Software Solutions Co. Ltd. in July 1994. He was also responsible for creating India's largest IT distribution company, Godrej Pacific Technology Ltd (GPTL) as another spin off from EBE, which later became Tech Pacific and was GPTL's founding CEO.

With over 24 years of experience in the engineering industry, including 17 years in CAD/CAM, Manu has experienced various phases in his work life- Academician, Consultant and Entrepreneur.
 
His favorite hobby is walking, whether it is in the Western Ghats of Mahableshwar or in different parts of the world.

Shashank Patkar

Shashank took over as the CEO of 3D PLM Software Solutions Ltd. – Geometric’s joint venture with Dassault Systèmes (DS Group-30%, Geometric-70%) in October 2007. Prior to taking over this position, Shashank was the Vice President, Corporate Strategic Initiatives. He has been a part of Geometric for past 20 years and has handled several key responsibilities in this period, including that of the Chief Financial Officer.

Shashank began his career at Geometric (the EBE Division of Godrej & Boyce) in 1986, as part of its first sales team. His initial responsibilities at Geometric included Sales and Marketing of Geometric's products and Services in the global market place. Shashank actively contributed in setting up of Geometric. From 1994 to 2000 he headed Operations and was responsible for setting and shaping the company's development center in Pune.

In July 2004, Shashank moved to the role of heading the Finance Business. He helped build Geometric's brand image with the investor community and displayed a unique combination of business and financial knowledge. He is also responsible for ERP implementation at Geometric.

Shashank is a Mechanical Engineer and MBA from the University of Mumbai. Shashank is a past President and active contributor to Software Exporter's Association of Pune and represents Geometric on various Industries and Government forums in Pune.

Milind Shastri

Milind is the CATIA brand leader at 3DPLM Software Solutions Ltd. He has more than  19 years of experience and has been part of the Geometric group of companies since the beginning.

Milind started as Developer in the EBE R&D division of Godrej & Boyce and was part of the team that developed a Polyhedral B-rep Solid Modeling System. He managed Geometric’s Technologies group for a period of more than 6 years.

Before shifting to 3DPLM Software, Milind was heading Geometric’s Products group. He has been with 3DPLM Software since its inception in January 2002 and is leading the CATIA brand activities since then.

Milind is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from College of Engineering , Pune, and M. Tech. (Design Engineering) from IIT, Mumbai. His areas of specialization include Software Process Engineering, Product Management and Delivery Management.

Milind enjoys light classical music, trekking, table tennis and cricket. Seeing an idea being successfully implemented has always motivated Milind.

Sameer Atre

Sameer Atre is the Brand Manager for the ENOVIA VPLM and the SmarTeam solutions within the DS ENOVIA Brand.

He has a total experience about 13 years and has been a part of the Geometric family for the last 7 years. 

Sameer began his career at Geometric in 2000 as a Project Manager in the erstwhile Collaborative Business Unit. In Geometric, Sameer was responsible for managing Key accounts as well generating more business. Since April 2002, Sameer has been with 3DPLM – ENOVIA as one of the first managers in 3DPLM. Prior to joining Geometric, Sameer has worked extensively in Opensystems as well as product implementations in India and abroad.

Sameer is a graduate in Com Science and has also completed his MBA from Pune

In his liesure, Sameer is an avid reader and is a die hard outdoor kind of person and is an avid trekker. Sameer also likes to listen to different kinds of music and plays some instruments as well.

Sudarshan Mogasale

Sudarshan is the ENOVIA MatrixOne Brand Leader at 3DPLM Software Solutions Ltd. He comes with a background of Software engineering, Consulting and Project development/management in the area of CAD / PDM / PLM. In his professional career of 12 years, Sudarshan has developed several software modules, products and  integrations in CAD & PDM / PLM domains. He has lead large development teams, executed critical projects / products, faced tough customer situations and come out successfully. He has worked with US, Europe & APAC customers & understands their way of working quite well.

Before moving into the role of Brand Leader in 3DPLM, Sudarshan was the Head of Matrix Practice at Geometric. He contributed in building Matrix skill set and practice at Geometric and he was the backbone of many Matrix based solutions too.

Sudarshan has done his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Mysore University . He started his career with Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Ahmedabad as Design Engineer for the remote sensing satellite division.

He likes software and business of software! Apart from this, he also likes reading, Carnatic classical music, ghazals and cooking.

Upendra Lele

Upendra Lele is heading the SolidWorks group of 3DPLM. He has more than 25 years of Industry experience and he joined Geometric group of companies in August 2000.

After doing his Post Graduation in Industrial Engineering from IIT Bombay in 1983, Upendra started his career as an Industrial Engineer in Bombay Tyres and later worked with Thermax and Maharashtra Scooters. During his long tenure with these companies, he handled various functions in Manufacturing Management. He was also involved in implementing many critical projects in Capacity expansion, Process Improvement and MIS development.

Upendra started the CATIA Industrialization and Maintenance activities in 3DPLM in May 2002 and these activities grew and stabilized under his leadership. This group has now become one of the major contributors in the Global Ecosystem of DS.

Yogesh Rawat

Yogesh is the SIMULIA brand leader at 3D PLM Software Solutions Ltd. He has a total experience of 10 years and has been a part of Geometric group since the beginning of his career.

Yogesh started his career as a Software Developer. He was a part of Geometric’s products group for 5 years. He played a key role in the success of SolidWorks Utilities product line – first as a Developer, and then as a Manager. Later he took the charge of Abaqus projects and moved to 3D PLM after DS acquired Abaqus and announced the SIMULIA brand. He has been associated with SIMULIA from its inception.

Yogesh is a Production Engineering graduate from VJTI, Mumbai, and M. Tech. (Design Engineering) from IIT Mumbai. 

He enjoys sketching, painting , craft and repairing things. Nature drawing works as a perfect stress buster for him!

Shailesh Nirgudkar

Shailesh Nirgudkar heads the Spatial InterOp group at 3DPLM. He has 10 years of experience and has been with Geometric since the beginning of his career.

As a software developer, Shailesh started work on an in-house product called ‘Multi Surface Machining Library’ ( MSML ). In MSML, he developed one critical module known as ‘remachining’ along-with a senior member. Then he worked on ePeople, an e-Commerce application before moving to InterOp in 2001.

Shailesh has played various roles in InterOp – Team Lead, onsite coordinator and Project  Manager.

Shailesh is a Mechanical Engineer from College of Engineering, Pune and M.Tech ( Design Engineering ) from IIT, Mumbai.

He enjoys reading, trekking and likes to solve puzzles. !
